Markus Appel, a German doctoral student, chose to carry out his research in the Grenoble Laue-Langevin Institute

Markus Appel is preparing his doctoral dissertation at the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany. He came to Grenoble to pursue his research at the Laue Langevin Institute (ILL). “If I was asked to choose again between working on my thesis here or in Germany, I would still choose to come here”. The international atmosphere, but also the vicinity of the mountains, Markus explains in a video what he likes in Grenoble.

Located in Grenoble, the ILL is an international research organisation, world leader in neutron science and technology thanks to the world’s most intense neutron source.
