How? Where? Why do a thesis? An information and orientation event on pursuing a thesis.
Every year, around mid-November, the Doctoral College organizes a round table discussion to answer the main questions about the thesis, with many testimonials from PhD students, and invites you to meet the Doctoral Schools.

What is a PhD/doctorate? Why do a thesis? How do I do a thesis in France and at UGA in particular? How do I find a subject and funding for my thesis? Who are the main players in the doctoral program (supervisors, laboratory, Doctoral School and College, etc.)? How can I write a thesis under joint supervision (cotutelle) with a foreign university? What kind of training do I need during my thesis? What career options are there after the thesis? How can we welcome PhD students, particularly non-Grenoble and international PhD students?
Armed with this information, you can then meet with one of the 13 Doctoral Schools to which you would like to apply.
