Better Understanding of the Socio-Economic and Cultural World

Benefit from shared experiences, testimonials, advice, recruiters' expectations, expert advice, etc.
The Doctoral College is committed to keeping you informed about potential careers outside higher education and academic research. To this end, it supports actions led by PhD students and regularly organizes discussion sessions with stakeholders, whether they are Doctors, recruiters, or experts in the field of employing PhD graduates.
  • CONNECT Working World: during these webinars, human resources professionals and/or employers come to share with PhD Students, their points of views on doctors' skills, and the existing position/career opportunities in their structure.
  • Find the podcast series "Écoute ton Doc" by InnovDoc
  • CONNECT by PhD Alumni: a series of webinars run by alumni dedicated to sharing their experiences
  • Thematic conferences
  • Connecting Doctoral Research: discussion sessions and meetings with companies, associations and communities in order to meet experts, to better understand the issues and expectations of the socio-economic world, and to initiate collaborations.
  • Meetings with and visits to businesses: PhD student mission scheme
Our ties with the socio-economic and cultural world also include Individual Training Agreements for Research (CIFRE), in other words, theses in collaboration with a non-university host structure.
Each year, more than 300 PhD students complete a CIFRE thesis.
