Université Grenoble Alpes wishes to honor the 2023 PhD graduates and is holding the PhD Ceremony on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 5pm at the Louis Weil Amphitheater, on the Saint-Martin-d'Hères campus.

PhD Ceremony on june 25, 2024 at 5pm at the Louis Weil Amphitheater,

This occasion is an opportunity for Université Grenoble Alpes to honor its PhD graduates of the class of 2023. The ceremony includes the awarding of degrees and thesis prizes to ten UGA doctors whose thesis work has been judged to be of outstanding quality: eight academic thesis prizes, including one interdisciplinary prize, and two innovation thesis prizes. This year's winner will receive one of the previous prizes, the environmental and societal responsibility prize.
Face-to-face participation
  • The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail reception and a festive evening. 
  • It will be possible to follow the ceremony in English via an interpreting channel.
  • A sash symbolizing your promotion to PhD will be presented to you at the ceremony.
Remote participation
  • You can participate remotely via Zoom. 
  • If you're taking part from a distance, or if you're not taking part at all, we'll send you your sash by post. 
  • Please make sure you enter a stable home address on the registration form.
  • The ceremony will be broadcast live in french and will remain accessible on the chaine Youtube de l'Université Grenoble Alpes for family and friends.
Registration is compulsory until May 24, 2024.

Picking up you degree the day of the ceremony
It will be possible to pick up your diploma in person upon presentation of proof of identity:
  • from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m at the Maison du doctorat
  • 2pm and 4:30pm at the Louis Weil Amphitheatre.
*Furthermore, diploma models will change on January 1, 2024. You will be informed as soon as they are available with the usual procedure.
